The soul of photography or any other art lies in reality. Any work of art unless is associated with the truth does leave a lasting impact on anyone. The best example is of painting. Paintings are sold in lakhs when they are beyond understanding for many. It is just because of the realistic element in them which can be seen by people having similar way of thinking.
The photographs if you see have the same case. There are certain images which are our favorite. For me my favorite pictures are those which are clicked naturally. When a picture is natural it captures the real expressions of all participating in the scene. Otherwise what happens is the photographer asks us to say cheese in order to make us smile. Now you yourself decide how the pictures can be good if you are mad to speak something that make you look as if you are smiling.
